A Message from Mrs. Skeel…..
As I reflect on all that we've done this year, all that we've been through, all that we've learned, all that we've accomplished, and all the fun that we've had, I can confidentially say that Perry Elementary is the most amazing place spend our days. The students, staff, families, and the Perry community have shown me such immense grace and support as I've navigated this first year as the Perry Elementary Principal and I am so thankful for each of you. As I close out this first year as principal, I'd be incredibly naive to not acknowledge the village that is Perry Elementary.

To the staff at PES, you are the heart and soul of our school. The love and compassion you show our students to ensure that they can be their very best is what pushes me forward each day. Your dedication to ensure that all students can learn sets all students up to achieve their best. You've navigated new standards, you've learned how to adapt when curve balls are thrown your way, you've supported one another and always put students first. While thank you is not nearly enough, I hope you know that i could not be where I am without every one of you.

To our families, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your children each day. Thank you for supporting us as we navigate new waters. Thank you for giving us grace as we continue to learn and adapt. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure that all students can learn. Your willingness to work with us and support the work each day shows our students that we are a team, and together we can do great things. You have given us the most wonderful blessings as your children are amazing and I am so thankful to get to know each one of them.

To our community, you've continued to come through when we've needed you and 'thanks' isn't nearly enough. While I know I am leaving businesses and people out, it is certainly not on purpose, but there are sooooo many businesses and people of Perry that have supported PES all year long and we couldn't do it without you. Hy-Vee, Fareway, City State Bank Insurance, Scot Dickerson, Tin Pig, Raccoon Valley Bank, Casa de Oro, PEP, Progressive Foundry, Van Wall, Mex2U, Sips on 2nd, Harper Rose, Perry Grand Theater, Perry Public Library, Perry Optimist Club and Perry Rotary Club, Perry Flowers by Donna Jean, Sturm Generations Wealth Advisors, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and so many more. Thank you for continuing to ensure that our students and staff have what they need to be successful. You are our village, and we couldn't do it without you.

To the students, YOU are why we are here. Your love for school, your love for your teachers, your love for learning, and your love for each other are what makes PES the best place to be. You are all going to do BIG things and I can't wait to see all that you accomplish next year. I will miss you so much this summer, but hope that you continue to find your passion and come back in August ready to continue your love for learning.

Take a look at some of the fun from Perry Elementary!
